Turkish Burger Meatballs-Kofta
These meatballs are also called mother meatballs because in traditional homes mothers always cook them for their kids. We serve them either with rice pilaf or French fries.
Turkish Burger Meatballs Kofta Ingredients
YIELD: Makes 16 meatballs
500 gr. ground beef (beef and lamb can be mixed for a better taste if you love lamb)
1 medium onion, grated or very finely chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
3-4 old bread (inside only) or 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 of a bunch parsley, finely chopped
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt (or more depending on your salt)
Turkish Burger Meatballs Kofta Recipe Preparation
1)Mix all the ingredients together
2)Knead the mix at least 5 minutes to make sure that everything is mixed together.
3)Grill or fry on the pan using either canola or sunflower oil.
Kofta can be served as a main entree with French fries or Turkish rice pilaf with Turkish Shepherd salad
